Is there a programer in the house?!

OK. When I heard about Lego Universe closing in January, I was sad. And I still am sad. But if we can salvage the game files, maybe we can make a new LEGO Universe! I'm working on a way to get the download for the PK file extractor so we can get all of the 3D models, but I cannot model in 3D. I need help. Lots of it. So I am making a new team (Or if you already have a team I'll join), so we can re-create LEGO Universe once it closes! If anyone wants to help, (Or if you want to inform me about a team you already have), please comment or post on this site! (Right Now, it is a WIP)

Answer The Call... Re-create The Legend... Save Imagination!

P.S. If/when LU gets re-created, how about we put YouReeka into it? :P

  1. That's a great idea! I'll try searching around for more info on how we could do this. We need Coders (File converters, file divers, file extractors), and programmers...

  2. @Anonymous Who are you? I need to know. If you know programing, that's great! I'm going to import the LU worlds into Unity 3D today and I'll need help with coding!

  3. @rioforce Just a reader of your blog. But sadly, I'm not a programmer. -But I can help you find some! And you're already importing the worlds into a graphic design program? That's excellent! Now I'm sure that we can do this! P.S. I'm that anonymous guy. :) I just signed up for the blog thing. :D

  5. @UltraGeniusEnergy Well, I cannot figure out how to get .NIF files into Unity 3D, so I'll need a little help.

  6. @rioforce Well, I searched the internet on how to get .NIF files into Unity, and I found this: www.ehow.com/how_6303930_open-nif-files.html
Well, it doesn't tell you how to get .NIF files into Unity, but it tells you how to open them. I hope that this helps! -I'll keep searching the internet on how to get them into Unity 3D.

  7. @UltraGeniusEnergy I've seen that. I already know how to open the NIF files. I just can't get them into Unity. Can I get .OBJ files into Unity? I can convert NIFs to OBJ with NifScope. See I've already got the NIF files opened:

  8. @rioforce Okay, I kept searching, and I found this:

    http://answers.unity3d.com/questions/170625/importing-obj-file-with-textures.html

If this doesn't help, there's a ton of other stuff on that site. I'm going to keep searching anyway. Again, I hope that this helps! :)
