_________________

Rioforce's Notes: In the "Demo LEGO Universe" paragraph, I saw they would demo the new VE and AG. Does that mean they will let people see the new AG with the Spider Boss, or is it the Free-To-Play Demo that people can play. Anyway, I never heard of an update to the Venture Explorer! When will that come? Also, they may be testing the F2P so the guests at BrickFair will not chat with regular people saying that they are at brick fair and so the guests will not be playing ALL DAY trying to complete the game.

Rioforce's Note #2: From this news article, I have figured out that LEGO Universe Free-To-Play Demo will come out near August 8th or 13th. See, the article said that people at BrickFair would "... have the first look at the changes and improvements made to the Venture Explorer and Avant Gardens area...". So, that is OBVIOUSLY the free trial.

Build your LEGO Universe Dreams! Part 3

Welcome back

to this special series on LEGO® Universe building features! In this edition, you can learn more about Free Building and how to bring your creations to life in the gameworld.

When the dark and destructive Maelstrom was formed, it infected every LEGO Universe world, from the largest to thousands upon thousands of smaller worlds. Now, Minifigures who join the battle to save Imagination are settling on those smaller worlds and using their creativity to push back the Maelstrom!

Hop into your custom rocket and fly to your LEGO Universe property to join the fun! When you first land, your property will be overrun with Stromlings, the dark menace’s destructive creatures. Battle the Stromlings to start making your world your own!

Enter “Brick Mode” and the outside world fades; now you’re free to take your time creating. Scatter your bricks and models on the ground and begin building any LEGO creation you can imagine— brick by brick!

You can keep your property private, invite only your friends to see your creations, or safely build a world to wow any LEGO fan. Your world, your rules!

If you need more bricks for a masterpiece, then adventure around the gameworld to gather them! You can get more LEGO pieces by trading with vendors and your friends; completing missions and achievements; smashing special models; or zooming to victory at the racetracks.

You may be wondering things like, “If I build a hover car, how can I get it off the ground?” Now live in the LEGO Universe Closed-Beta Test, players can also gather “behaviors.” Apply a flying behavior to your creation and up it goes— and that’s only the beginning!

Stay tuned for much more on behaviors and how to bring your incredible creations to life in the first massively multiplayer online game for LEGO fans!

Build Your LEGO Universe Dreams! Part 2

Welcome back to this special series on the fun building features players will find in LEGO Universe!

Readers of the first edition already know the basics on the fastest way to build in LEGO Universe: Quick Building. Today's edition delivers more detail on that feature AND sheds light on two new ways to build in the first massively multiplayer online game (MMOG) for LEGO fans!

As players explore and quest in LEGO Universe, they'll discover Quick Build models scattered throughout the gameworld. Putting together those models will help you and your friends achieve certain gameplay goals. For example, your minifigure can Quick Build 'bouncers' to help everyone leap up to spots where there are special LEGO bricks!

Now that you can picture how LEGO Universe players will have a blast building fast, let's take a peek at a couple of the game's more creative ways to build! We'll start the wheels rolling with Modular Building. This kind of building fun is based on premade 'modules' that are made up of several LEGO elements. Choose different module combinations to build custom LEGO models--like radical rockets and race cars!

And even the most advanced builders are going to have a ball Free Building in LEGO Universe! Show off your unique creative style by building custom LEGO models brick by brick!

Stay tuned to the LEGO Universe News Network for much more on how the game's launch will set off a LEGO building BOOM!

Build Your LEGO Universe Dreams! Part 1

Rioforce's Note: I was Googling a LEGO picture, when I found this post. There are 3 parts. They may help you in the game.

The LEGO Universe News Network introduces new “news-themes”! For each terrific topic, we’ll feature content that opens the door on new game details, beginning with “building”!

This series shines a light on the many ways you can make models in LEGO Universe!

For starters, players will easily toss together LEGO Universe creations with “quick building.” Snappy and fast, this is the primary type of building found in popular LEGO video games like Star Wars™, Batman™ and Indiana Jones™.

To quick build in LEGO Universe, you’ll simply push a button that starts your custom LEGO minifigure swiftly snapping together a predetermined model. Quick building is great for keeping the gameplay going at turbo-speed, even in the middle of intense action!

Check out this concept art sketch of a quick build where a dragon's hotdog cart needs to be swiftly reassembled:

Concept art sketch of a "quick build"

You’ll also discover other brand new ways to build in LEGO Universe, the most gigantic virtual playground LEGO has ever created! Even beginning builders can create amazing models with quick builds, but this 'Build your LEGO Universe dreams' series is just getting started!

Stay tuned for part 2, where we’ll introduce more fantastic new ways to build that you’re only going to find in the first massively multiplayer online game for LEGO fans!

Please note: Concept art creations are part of the creative process. There is no guarantee that they will be in the game.

August Content Revealed!

An Image Seen On LEGOUniverse.com On this news story
Wow. When I read the new story on LU.com, I almost fell out of my chair! This is REALLY exciting! Ok. SO let's cover the basics. First, the Lego Universe Free-To-Play Demo is coming out next month. But have you heard of August Capes? No. I did not say Apes. I said capes. You heard me correctly. So let's cut to the chase:

Faction Kits and Spider Boss Rumor

Ahh, faction kits. Buccaneer, Daredevil, Engineer, Summoner, Sorcerer, Space Marauder, Samurai, Knight. All wonderfull kits. They go great with valliant weapons! Well, You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet!
The New Faction Kits
The new faction kits are out! Space Ranger, Adventurer, Shinobi, and Inventor! They are coming soon! And you'll SURE need them, with the spider boss rumor! You ask where did the rumor come from? Well look at the top of this page! And the official article had this in it (notice the bold text):

"...The Power of the Nexus Force release is exploding with amazing additions! It’s...almost a bit strange, how much preparation the Nexus Force is going through right now. It’s almost as if they are preparing for an epic battle...of arachnid proportions!

Explorers, heed the call. Get ready for the Power of the Nexus Force now!"

Leveling Up

As we all know, the Leveling Up System will be making a stand soon, so I guess the Nexus Force is discouraging any newbies from entering any "Advanced" worlds.

Capes!!!!!!!

In beta, there were no capes. Woah woah woah. Back up. There WERE capes, but only GMs had them. Like the "Paradox Cape". There was this certain GM that rarely came up, and he wore a Paradox Cape. (Some say he is Vanda Darkflame's son. :P) Now, regular minifigs can have capes!

So WHY would the Nexus Force try to get stronger? Well, nobody really knows. Some say it's just routine work, but others say it's special work, and the Paradox found out that the Spider Boss was planning on destroying Avant Gardens. So you'd better get suited up and,

Answer The Call! Save Imagination!

-Rioforce

P.S. Nobody knows when this update will come, but it may come in August. I'm not sure though...

More Free-To-Play Info

The Survey That I Took For Fun
Well, I was taking the LEGO Universe Survey (even though I don't play Lego Universe :P), and on a page near the center, I came up to this question. It said,

"Which Are You Playing LEGO Universe On?"

  • Paid Membership
  • Free-To-Play Zone
  • I Don't Know
Well, there you go. That's all I wanted to tell you. Basically I took the survey without knowing what I was doing because I was having fun. THE END.

To Imagination And Be... WAIT!

Seriously! I don't know what I was thinking! I forgot to tell you what this post was about! OK. See, everyone knows that the LEGO Universe Free-To-Play is coming out in August, right? Well, it MUST be coming soon, because it is already in the survey! Wow! (Too bad I already took the survey, when the LU F2P version comes out, I'll want to take it again, but you can only take it ONCE in 30 days. :( Oh, well. I'll figure it out.)

As I always say, "When having fun, you may find some surprises!" OK. I never said that before this. Anyway...

Lego Universe Free-To-Play Link LEAKED! [updated x2]

On the Lego Universe News Forums, a topic cam up concerning the Lego Universe Free-To-Play Trial. Then, a post by a user named "Kelvin" popped up. He said:

"Thanks. And the free trial is already able in Lego Universe Official website!!!!!! It's leaked!!"

So, I went looking for the link. I did not find it. I asked kelvin, but he wouldn't give it to me. Then a user named "Sim533" posted and said:

"I think I know the link."

And so I asked him for the link. He gave it to me. Here is is:

http://launcher.universe.lego.com/en-us/freetrial/activate.aspx

It doesn't work yet, but it is not a dead link. If a link on LEGO.com is a dead link, that it will redirect to a "Page Not Found" page. But this link goes to an "ERROR" page that your internet browser brings up. that means that the link cannot connect to a redirect page, because it will soon become a real link. :)

Well, I've leaked so much, there is a puddle on the floor!

-Rioforce

 [UPDATE]

Now, sources (Kelvin) tell me that LU F2P Will launch August 20th. :( That's too late if you ask me.

[Update Number 2]

Now LegoFan101 says that the release date is all wrong. And he says that Kelvin just GUESSED the date of release. Here is the quote:

"I inquired about this. It was a randomly picked date - not something you should stake your claim on. :P

But yes, PAH, I'd suggest you wait until the Free Trial comes. :)

It'll be a lot like the first day of Beta. Broken chat, one world, limited items, no need for trading. :P "

From The Beta Archives: Spiders? Why Did It Have to Be Spiders?

Ahh...Infinity Plains...Such a nice place...full of grass, sky, Mythrans, and...SPIDERS! You might be saying, “Spiders?” And I might be saying, “Yes, Spiders.” But since you’re not here while I’m typing this, we don’t know what each other is saying. Anyway, I was talking about spiders. You might not think there are many spiders in Lego Universe, but you're wrong. Have you thought about Crux Prime, or Avant Gardens? Ahh, yes. Avant Gardens. Where my story begins. I went out of bounds via the spider cave and I was following this other guy that said he could show me the Spider Boss. Then it happened! I went through this rock (rocks aren't solid Out Of Bounds) and I came out under the Paradox Research Facility. I walked around, and I came up to this GIANT spider! It was the spider boss!

It wasn't the kind of boss that you could fight, though. It was just for looking at when Newbies go into the cave. It was so cool! The guy that showed it to me told me that I could fight it, but he just said because I didn't believe him at first. And that proves there are spiders in Infinity Plains.
